OK, so, my chassis is almost entirely welded (just need to fit a few brackets)

I plan on fitting the drilled srtip into the transmission tunnel to aid future fitting of brake/fuel/electrickery lines.

I will be using 25x3mm steel stip with 3.2mm holes at 50mm centres.

Where in the tunnel does it get welded?? I am assuming it gets welded on the top rails, inside the tunnel, pointing down??

Any pointers/photos most appreciated

i didnt bother with the strips on mine but if you are going to do them you will need them on the top and botom rails both sides.

As Ash says, or make them wider and put them at the top, both sides
You need to seperate your electrics from your fuel

Also you dont realy need to use 3mm steel
I used 1mm with a small lip to stop it flexing.

Cheers for the replies guys.

I have a load of 25x3 so will probably use that.

Will be running both fuel lines on one side, leccy and brakes on the other.

Thats how I did it.
Fuel on near side, leccy, brakes off side.

Watch for when you get to the back,
Its not a straight run from the top tubes.
The hand brake cable bracket is there

Yeah, I have had a good look at other peoples pics, might actually put the end bit of the strip in at an angle, so it goes from the top trans. tunnel rail, to just under the handbrake cable plate.

I'm a way off running any lines yet though, just want to iron out any problems before they start:D (he says hopefully)
