i used high tensile studding, more so that i could adjust the length to my liking, personal preference i suppose.

I went to my local bolt man and bought a couple of allen headed
bolts the right length. Only cost a couple of quid each.
I personaly don't like the idea of studding. (But that's just me.. )

And yes definatly H/T. Don't use B&Q rubbish.

It has been said by some that every root of the thread on studding or bolt is a possible failure point,so my personal view for something so critical would be Dogwood's long bolt. (nothing personal David !)

what about a good old fashioned rivet? Design it to have radi instead of sharp corners, sure to have no weak points.:p

If I remember correctly they were 230mm long 12mm
The bones are 206mm without the bushes.

Good one Ray.

I went to my supplier and picked up a couple just incase.
They were about the same price, not bad I think.

For info, anyone looking for bolts etc in the Kent area.
Versatile Fastners, in Gravesend worth a try.
This is their web site, http://www.versatilefasteners.com/
Although it ain't running yet because they just changed hands,

Ash

Got mine from VF, but if they don't have any, modern screws in Bexley usually have stock.

Cheers
