I'm making some rear uprights to suit the disk set up but can't remember what side the caliper goes on (parts where removed over 5 years ago) I don't think it makes a difference but as there not mine I'd rather check first.

I ground a 5mm weld prep around the outside edge of RU7 welded it completly, ground it flush then welded RU8 to both RU7 and the 5 inch tube. The edge of RU7 sits flush with the top of the tube and the holes in it are for clearance of the bolts, I'd put some spare M10 bolts in the tapped holes to stop any weld spatter going in and causing problems later.

Hi, my calipers are set at 45degrees rearward, there are previous posts about this.
