Anyone got any tips on how to get a smooth curve on SS1 without any special toolog?

I just bent it gently over my knee! It's a big radius, so it's easy to get nice smooth curve.

Just do it!

if you are using a GRP rear tub you don,t need to fit the curved supports.

Same here :)

Sutch a thin strip of steel, it'll bend very easy.

If you have delicate knees. You can use a bit of channel, angle, vice or even a workmate. ;)

Tap the strip with a hammer slowly working your way from one end to the other. It will soon curl up to give you the bend radius that you need.

I did mine a little bit different.

Cut the side supports.
Cut the 25x3 strip to length + tacked it on at the top
Held the side support in place
tacked the strip at the end
welded in side support

It curves very easily

i did the same as london sean but i boxed in both sides as it removes another radius

Thanks, sounds like I was worrying about nothing.

Hopefully I'll get a chance to give them a go today.

I've used this method for much much smaller radii in the past, works a treat.
