Hi all, i´m using the pinto engine for my roadster & am not realy sure what i need to do about the inlet manifold , do i need all the pipes that are connected to it or should i get red of them? which ones do i need to keep? can i just make a new manifold & use the carb from my doner? any info or photos would be very appreciated.
thanks

Hi Samy
Depending on which carb/manifold you have fitted.
I had a pierburg carb on my donor that gave me nothing but trouble.
I changed it for a normal downdraught Webber and manifold.
The only water pipe I have is one for the manifold heater.

Hi David, thanks for the info. I have the webber carb on my doner & am thinking of using my manifold flange to make a new manifold & try to make it as simple & clean as possible, so would it work if i just took away all the pipes or is there anything that i must have for the engine to work ?
thanks
samy
