View Full Version : Shock Strut Length?

I am going to set up my suspension alignment and have made a set of dummy shock struts to set the suspension at ride height but the length eye to eye seems off to me. My lower front a-arm is at a downward angle and the upper almost level, I think the lower arm should be parallel to the ground at ride height. My struts are 355mm front center of eye to eyelet and rears 330mm. Anyone made a set and have a good measurement? Or can measure their shocks at static ride height (lengthwise). Thanks. Been building since last March.

i can check our 2 cars ( Roadsters ) in the morning for you if you don,t get the info you need before then,

1 car is fully on the road & the other isn,t :D
1 with engine installed ( on the road ) & the other without engine in the chassis at the mo .

hope this helps.

Yeah that would be great, no hurry. Trying to fit up an odd sized steering rack so need to bump steer it and dont have shocks yet. Thanks.

If I remember correctly it is 13"
Both upper and lower should sit almost level.
Check you got the upper the right way up

I am guessing the front and rears are the same length? Dont have much time to spend on my project but want to get the chassis right. Jeff
