Just a quick update on the ali mushrooms, I asked the ali supplier to send me the material by next day delivery and he let me down so I did'nt get the material till friday afternoon. The batch will be finished ready to post by the end of the week and you should have them by tues-wed next week at the lastest.

I got mine Tuesday, very nice thank you. I like the fact they wont go orange with rust after a few months, but are offset like they're supposed to be.

Many thanks Chris

Hope your all happy with your mushrooms just a sample of our work. I hope that people are savy enough to know that you'll need a washer between the taper nut and the ali? Also I found it easier to take the whole mushroom out and turn it to adjust the camber instead of keep taking the trackrod in and and out.

Won't doing that also adjust the caster (king pin inclination) at the same time though?

If you replace the mushroom in the same position then castor should stay the same.

I asked this previously but how exactly are people planning to prevent these spinning in the upright. I know they clamp in the upright, but donesn't the IVA man like to see an M6 bolt drilled and tapped through upright and mushroom?

Any tips for getting the trackrods out my old ally center holed mushrooms. Hammer from back?, after removing nut obviously!

Cheers Chris

If you are using the offset in the mushroom to adjust the camber, then yes, it defeats the purpose of having them offset. If you are taking the mushroom out and adjusting the TRE in the wishbone, rather than having to break the taper, then no.

Kind regards

John

I'm planning on using the quick adjusters from rally design -
