Morning guys.

Anyone know the exact location of the fuel pump on a 2.0 efi Sierra.
I'm just being lazy, I haven't even started to look for it yet.
But it's bstd cold outside today, so hoping someone will know.
Save me hunting around for it, freezing me berejeebers off... :D

I'm hoping I can use the original rather than buying a new one.
Any opinions appreciated

Cheers

My Haynes manual don't cover the 2 litre EFI sierra

But if it is the same as the 2 litre DOHC it'll be in the tank ............Very much, same as fitted to the Mudaneo & Escort Zetec engined cars ;)

Can't remember if there is an access plate under the rear seat, so as you can lift out the pump & sender assembly !!

Dare say you can soon make one :D :D

Mine was in the tank too j reg dohc estate, but earlier cars had a separate one which you should find near the tank.
turn the ign on and you should hear it near the drivers side rear wheel arch
theyre normally in a separate cradle and have a large inlet and a smallr banjo fitting outlet
hope this helps Ray:)

i wouldn't turn the ignition on he's took the engine out so it will piss fuel 30foot across the garden :D

it will be in the tank dave. the easy option is to drop the tank out of the car then take it in the warm to play.

What year sierra is it.

Pre 90 Spec has external pump mounted on the spare wheel well.
Post 90 has intank pump

Unless it's a cosworth and they all had external pumps.

Thank's for the replies guy's.
Glad I didn't spend all morning underneath it looking:rolleyes:

Assuming that it's in the tank then ( It's a Jan 1990, TT)
I don't fancy the idea of refitting in the new tank.
Therefore I will need an external one.
Is this the type of thing I need?

Again any advice appreciated

Certainly looks like just the thing you need :)

The listing does state that it is suitable for injected engines.

I dare say that you'll get some sound advice from someone a bit more familiar with fuel injected engines ;)

Would be a right git, crawling about & freezing your nuts off just to find it's in the tank :D :D

If it's feeding a fuel injected engine then it will most likly need about 3bar. That pump only goes to about 9psi so it would not work.

Think a lot of peepes have bought from this guy.

I have one, it was intended for our MK1 golf but I changed tack on the fuel delivery for that.
