hi guys, bin a while but i managed to get back in the shed today, anyway my question today is does the header tank have to be the highest poin in the system as mine is currently sittin lower than the rad, cheers guys G

As a general rule.

On a vented cooling system, the headder tank should be at the highest point of the system.

You don't want to be risking poor circulation or possible air locks :eek:

How would you fill it up though George? as soon as you take the cap off the water will escape and the air buffer would collect in the radiator rather than the header tank.

Yes, afraid it does need to be at the highest point. Attach it to one of the front top rails, should be fine. It's quite easy to modify the Sierra one to do this.
