Can anyone tell me what is the size of the bolts that secure the mushroom inserts in the front hub carriers ? I've lost the originals, so have nothing to compare.

Cheers

yep m12

dont get 45mm ones as you have to replace them for longer ones any way as you need the thread to come right through another 15-20mm to bolt the wingstays on

Some time since the initial post but I cannot get M12's to fit. I have some 7/16 bolts and fit fine. Can anyone explain please ?

Cheers

99.9% sure the are a M12 standard metric thread . The threads may be dammaged, clogged with loctite reminants .
Personaly I would run an M12 metric tap through them ;)

A 7/16" UNC bolt would go in there as it is just a tiny bit smaller & of similar thread pitch.

Being M12 metric a 7/162UNC bolt will not provide an adequate grip & will probably strip the thread in the upright when it is torqued up
