just been to a massive scrapyard 500,000 sq foot of parts on the shelf. my kit car takes a mk2 escort rack,

1)but they only had a fiesta mk2 (xr2) would this fit?
2) they had a 2.8 is it? xr4i. front hub lh but not a rh, but they did have a pair of p100 hubs, can u use those or what others hubs can be used?
3)what rear hubs parts do i need for my uprights (discs)
4)they had a xr4i diff labelled with lsd. push in shafts (what ratio would that be)

cheers any help would be great as i want to try and get back there 2day so i can carry on building :)

I am not using ford bits but need to use an escort rack. I believe that the Fiesta like most FWD cars have the steering link on the hubs at the rear of the centre line meaning that if you use the Fiesta rack on the Sierra hubs you will turn left when you steered right!! Perhaps a proper mechanic can confirm.

P100 hubs use van 5 stud wheels.

If your going for disks you need the hubs, calipers and shafts. and a diff with bolton shafts.

I doubt the push in xr4i diff is an LSD

just go and buy a sierra you know its the correct thing to do :D the lsd diff on its own will prob cost you more than the whole car it comes off.

if i wanted an lsd on mine i would just get a quafe one as all the sierra ones are 20odd years old and 90% of them are shagged.

Expect to pay 100-150 for an LSD.

you have a way with words Ash that always makes me smile.:D

As Ash says.........buy a complete car, get all the bits you need in 1 go ;)

I paid £150 for my sierra with tax & mot :)

I did not bother with the whole car thing... But then I do have 1 or two spares.. so only needed to buy 1 or two bits that I have not kept B4.
