Hello,

Quick question - does the Roadster use the Sierra rack unmodified or does it need shortening/narrowing?

Thanks,
Nick

it uses an escort mk2 rack, the sierra main case is far too long.

Anyone used any more modern alternatives?

Can't imagine an Escort rack is too easy to come by these days?

Rack (http://www.rallydesign.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=10557)
Clamps (http://www.rallydesign.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=7335)

Mk2 escorts are still widely used in rallying so there is still a market for them.

Fair play - I hadn't actually tried to buy one as yet!

You would have to find something with exactly the same distance between the inner track rod ball joints, and also something intended for forward location. Virtualy all racks for fwd cars ar rearward location.

Getting a rearward rack with a different handedness would work :)
