As I am using a BMW donor I intend using the Beemer steering column. Can someone, the next time they are in the workshop, measure the position of the steering wheel on their Roadster. Dimensions A and B will be fine. I can then make my own support bracket.

Hi Mate.
Might be stating the obvious here but.
The stearing wheel needs to be set at what is comfortable for you.

My wheel is in a compleatly different position than AshG, for instance.
I can hardly get my knees under his.
He would prob find mine way too high for him.

No help I know...Sorry:rolleyes:

Yes, but when you're making the chassis and don't have the seats yet it's too early to talk about comfort and personal preferences. The book design sounds like a safe bet.

So, on my chassis with the non-adjustable Sierra column the height of the Ford logo in the middle of the wheel (dimension B) is adjustable by the slots in the bracket roughly in the range of 55-58 cm, and the distance from the rear bulkhead rail (dim A) is about 47 cm.

Thanks guys that’s precisely what I wanted. Now I can get the chassis finished and welded then later on get the steering adjusted to suit me once I’ve got a seat etc.
