Just been looking on another forum and noticed that there is a new revision of the IVA manual out here -

An interesting change is you can now mechanically lock a brake bias bar (e.g. lock wire) as long as you put a sticker by the master cylinder saying "Adjusting front/rear brake bias may invalidate approval and breach Construction and Use requirements."
So no need to weld them up anymore - good to see a sensible approach being taken to the regulations.:D
