Sierra Upright, Cast Or Forged

hi all

does anyone now if the sierra front uprights are cast or forged...?

also same question for ford fiesta uprights??

I think both are cast steel, if you clean 13-15years worth of crud off them I'm sure I've seen casting marks on them. I know they are steel not iron as I've cut them with an angle grinder and MIG welded other things to them in the past.

Cast steel and should be welded with low hydrogen arc rods,disimilar metals tend to flake off where they are welded.
