Just been working out what lights to have on my dash as I have 8 available on my dash.

Was thinking of -
Left Indicator
Right Indicator
Oil Pressure Warning
Charging Warning
Brake Fluid/Handbrake Warning
Sidelight
Main Beam
Fog Light

Hazards will be the switch on the steering wheel.

Is this all I need??

Cheers

Dave

Left Indicator + Right Indicator
Brake Fluid/Handbrake Warning
Sidelight ( dash illumination is all you need )
Main Beam
Fog Light
Hazards will be the switch on the steering wheel.

I dont think you "Need" oil pressure and battery warning lights.

They are the two that I would keep over any. Unless your being sarcastic.

The question is "what do you need", if you need to pass IVA , you don't need Oil or battery warning.

Although the alternator does need something to excite the windings.

Cheers guys for the quick responses - I am using one of these units
http://www.saturnsportscars.co.uk/store/images/uploads/components/koso-db09r.jpg

Supplied by saturn complete with a sensor to go straight into the gearbox. The warning lights around the side are little hexagonal units you can swap or make your own to suit - you get these in the pack

The only thinh you have to be careful about is that 4 LEDs on one side are +ve switched and the 4 on the other are -ve switched.

I was talking about IVA. The others are required. ;)

Dai,

your charging circuit won't work with an LED, it has to be an ordinary bulb (unless a certain resistor is used as well) which I guess is why a battery emblem isn't included with the vapor dash unit.

All the best,

Sam

What price an engine for the sake of one light ?
Fit the brightest red/orange light you can for the oil pressure, you are more likely to see this than watch the oil pressure drop on a guage and it does not take long to wreck an engine due to it.

Can you use one light for both indicators?
