Hi All
putting the electrics down the tunnel can i also use the clips the electrics are on to put the brake pipes on,
hope it not a silly question but it would make it more convenient, the petrol pipe would be on the other side away from the electrics

I would say - no.

The testers like to see everything separate - electrics, brakes, & fuel. Several reasons: loom rubbing against the brake pipe (one will wear through eventually), and brake fluid is inflammable, especially when warm - just imagine if something caused a wire to cook...

I run the electrics and brake lines down the right side hand of the tunnel on seperate clips, I then run the fuel line down the left hand side to keep maximum seperation. Inevitably though in the engine bay the fuel lines and electrics do cross and get very close to each other.

They can be close together, but mustn't be able to touch. What the tester will do, if he thinks there's a risk, is waggle the loom a bit to see if it can touch anything important - same for the fuel pipe. This is something you can do for yourself before the IVA!
