I recently got this fan http://www.kitspares.co.uk/shop/item.php?cat=4&product=4730&catsub=0 and have it fitted now. Question is the eletrical connection on it is different to fan connection on the sierra loom. I should probly have cut the connection off the sierra fan but didn't and this has now been scraped and there's no sierra's in breakers anywhere near me. So will it be easier to try and find a sierra one or find something to match the fan and cut the sierra one off my loom? If so does anyone know what the fan connection would be called or have a link to somewhere that sells the right one?

It's a simple 2 wire connection, test on a battery so it runs the right way, test +12V out of the loom and connect.
Check you have a relay as a fan can pull a lot of amps.

Ok so which way round to wire it sounds simple enough, what do I do about the two plugs being different though? is there somewhere like maplin that would sell suitable plugs so I could chop off the loom plug and the fan plug to replace both with a set that match up so to speak?

Lots of ways to join them.

1. Solder the wires together.
2. Terminal blocks
3. Twist and tape (bodge)
4. Bullet connectors
5. Spade connectors.

I bought japanese bullet connections for mine as this is what was already fitted to the fan.

I would cut the plug off the rad fan and fit one of these as it will look very neat and professional and is easy to fit, also its waterproof.:D
