View Full Version : Harness top mount covers - what are you using?

My car is pretty much ready for IVA, apart from covers for the harness top mounts, and its beginning to pi$$ me off!

I can't find covers that will actually go over the top mounts of my Sabelt harnesses. I've tried the Pajero ones on eBay, but they are nowhere near wide enough. I tried emailing Sabelt directly (twice!), and got no reply.

What have you guys found that works?

Cheers

Adrian

Nut cap on the bolt and edge trim on the plate?

Ash's car failed IVA at the same test centre I'll be using with a nut cap and trim, so I'm trying to find an alternative.

Cheers

i used a piece of black vinyl fabric. Bolt through the middle, sown across one side and press stud the other to get to the bolt, passed IVA with no problems,

Having got round the seat belt problem did it then fail on not having any triangulation on the roll bar?

Is it a testable item as its not used for the seat belt mounting,as long as it conforms to projections, sharp edges etc.

Ah yes I see your point, sorry I missed that the belts where not mounted to it.

Next year for sprinting I'm changing the roll bar and possibly having a removable brace bar from it into the passanger footwell which defiantly wouldn't pass IVA!
