twinturbo 28th April 2010 09:41 PM

TT

twinturbo 28th April 2010 09:42 PM

gingea1pom 28th April 2010 09:45 PM

Good question my friend,

Thinking out loud, all comments and thoughts gratefully received at Stoneleigh.

Once we have covered all costs (posting of items won by people who buy a ticket on the forum that can’t make it to Stoneleigh)

We could vote on Sunday evening or take suggestions all weekend.

Don’t know is the short answer.

Cheers Ginge

PS what TT said forgot we mentioned that earlier

Cheers Ginge

As I started the thread regarding the forming of "The club" I was going to suggest that we have an informal meeting at stoneleigh to highlight suggestions/idea,s etc of the purpose of the club, possible nominee,s to the forming of a committee, then to create a thread so that all forum members that are not at the show get info thru this forum ( whilst we are still at the show), so that as much as possible every member is informed of what is being discussed.
I have been writing some notes with regard a few discussions that i,d like to "bring up" at a meeting at the show over the weekend.
I trust this will be acceptable to all?

Once we have elected a committee ( thru discussions at stoneleigh & info posted on the forum with enough time given for any forum members to make comment) we can then start the next stage of forming the Official club,

cheers
andy
ps...ideally this post should be on the other "club" thread but thought it was relevant here also.

Try this though....
Ash came round for a visit last night.
We were talking about a guy that does the rolling road near us.
Ash said he knows his stuff. he's been doing it all his life.
He's "Your age" he said to me......Hmmmm I thought.
Then Ash said ...."He's been doing it since he was my age"
Little B****rd...you ain't funny

Mind you we had a run out in his car after.
It's a super nice car, no wonder he's proud of it.
So all forgiven mate. For the mo........;)

Top tip

If any forum members not going to the show, want to buy tickets via paypal payment to Ginge.

If the payment is sent as a gift, it will not be subjected to paypal fees ;)

Sorry to all of you folk that already know this :o :o

Well I didn't.:(

Nice one Ronnie

twinturbo 29th April 2010 01:36 PM

Ging...

Can you take along a 4pak of Guniess to put in the raffle. I will pay for 10 tikkets and the cost of the Guniess. Let me know what I owe.

TT

twinturbo 29th April 2010 01:38 PM

Next question will be..

Is it a ticket is drawn and the winner picks a prize.

Or is it a prize selected and the ticket drawn..

I prefere the latter type, especialy as some of us will not be there.

TT

gingea1pom 29th April 2010 03:16 PM

TT,

Your question popped into my head last night.

I think the fairest way to do it, as some people will not be there, is to draw the raffle and the prizes are allocated in the order that they appear on the list below.

Rapid Prototype Miniature Haynes Roadster Chassis – John Marchant
Full set of camber adjuster lock nuts and rear camber adjusters – Bonzo (Ronnie)
Roadster vinyl decals – Slimtater
General purpose grease – LesG
Aeroscreen - AndyH
Set of three Clarky welding clamps (Item 040212840) – HandyAndy
A £20 voucher for use in the on line shop - www.enochsemporium.co.uk – Enoch
A four pack of Guiness – TT

Cheers TT for the donation I will pick it up tonight and PM you the bill!!

Cheers Ginge

gingea1pom 29th April 2010 04:21 PM

Wow, if every ‘active’ member of the forum bought a raffle ticket the club to be would have £268 to get us started. :D

Not withstanding those upstanding members who have already purchased a ticket or two, and I know lots of you will be purchasing them at the show.

Just a thought!

Cheers Ginge

Bonzo 29th April 2010 05:13 PM

A little off topic :o :o

I would love to see some of the non-active forum members, become more involved in the forum.

Perhaps this could become part of the clubs agenda ;)

Would be fantastic to know the real number of Roadster builds out there :)

Davey 29th April 2010 05:57 PM

Great start guys, I'll be buying my tickets at the show and I'll get me thinking cap on for a prize to donate, sadly not much of my business is related to sports cars so it'd be difficult to donate anything useful, still I'm sure I can come up with something.

D.

In edit: okay guys I've got it, how's about a CTEK XS3600 battery charger worth around £50.

gingea1pom 29th April 2010 06:23 PM

Davey,

That’s fantastic of you to donate.

Pleased don’t feel obliged, any one, to donate BUT everything welcome.

Davey, can I stick it on the list?

Cheers Ginge

Davey 29th April 2010 06:48 PM

Hi Ginge, no problem mate. You can stick it on the list but my stock controller (read wife:p ) has just told me we're waiting for them to come in so all I can say is that if whoever wins it contacts me with their address details then as soon as we have them I'll send it out.

les g 29th April 2010 07:01 PM

i prefer reverse order raffles or the ones where the prizes are numbered and the numbers go in a pot and are drawn
( preferably by a naked page 3 girl :D )
just seems more fun somehow.
but i,ll go along with the majority
cheers les g

gingea1pom 29th April 2010 07:01 PM
