SSC transfer of business to NTS Engineering

Hello All,

Time to keep you up to date. About 6 years ago i was diagnosed with epilepsy which was brought under control, however, recently it has begun to escalate again, to such an extent that i have had my driving license suspended again for at least a 12 month period while it is brought under control. Due to this i have decided to concentrate more so on the fostering and have come to an agreement with Nathan, aka SSH120M, to pass over all business to him. We are currently in the process of handing over work and will be completely handed over by the end of this month with Nathan trading as NTS Engineering from 1st February 2012. NTS Engineering will still be based in Hartlepool in a unit close to Saturn's own unit, Nathan will continue to produce all components provided by Saturn and continue to support and complete the Mx5 based car while having some excellent ideas to develop the range. I will continue to be involved, but much more of a back seat, and will try and ensure that Nathan maintains quality of service to other builders. Nathan will soon be posting new contact details and a new website to go with the business. All current orders will be fulfilled by myself and Nathan over the next few weeks, also there will be smooth transition between the two.

So it's time to put the roadster in storage for a bit and wish all other builders the very best with their own builds and projects and dont ever forget that all the headaches and effort is always worthwhile.

Regards........Andrew

Andy

Sad to hear that mate, all my dealings with SSC and yourself have been superb, and your customer service second to none. Hope you get everything sorted out, don't be a stranger on here!

Cheers

Sorry to hear the sad news about your licence great news about nathan taking over things

Nathan if you need help with anything whilst your setting up dont hesitate to ask and I hope you are planning to keep the bbq's during the summer as I missed them all last year and I could do with a monkey burger/meet and greet

Good luck to you both

vetteman1355 16th January 2012 05:36 PM

That's a bit of a bugger but you must look after your health. I am sure with you help that Nathan will continue all the hard work that you have put in.

sorry to hear you have to give up your roadster for a bit :( that surely has to be the worst bit

how exactly does this effect any outstanding orders?

twinturbo 16th January 2012 07:17 PM

Really very sorry to hear this, you have been a massive part of the success of the roadster over the last 2 years and I hope you do continue in some way.

Shame the name is changing as it's well recognized.

Good luck, to Nathan.

Really sorry to hear that Andy :(
Best of luck with the fostering, I'm sure you'll get as much, if not more, out of that than this car building nonsense!

mark 16th January 2012 07:33 PM

Until then I personally will show my support for Nathan (Providing he meets the same high standards as yourself :D ), you have provided a second to none service I would and have recommended you to others.

One down side is that if his work is better than yours we might not have the chance of "Seconds" :D
As i said above all the best, will you still be a regular on the forum?

TheArf 16th January 2012 08:21 PM

I wish you and your better half all the best with your fostering. I only had the privilage of meeting you once, at the Newark show two years and my imediate impression was absolute genuine guy, so get the illness sorted, the license back and the wind in your hair. good luck

Andy
Wishing a speedy recovery to full fitness and hope all goes well with the fostering. Your help and support not only as a business but the countless hours you must spend on here helping people out has not gone unoticed.

ATB to Natahn and if you are mentoring him then all should be good

Best Regards
Matt

twinturbo 16th January 2012 09:41 PM

Hold on...

twinturbo 16th January 2012 09:42 PM

There is one extreamly important factor that must be considered..

And if it's not

then full boycot is needed..

twinturbo 16th January 2012 09:48 PM

I read..

"aka SSH120M, to pass over all business to him"

I am seriously worried..

Will NTC saturdays happen, will the Washingmachine BBQ be in the deal????

Will there be Monkey Burgers!!

HOLLEY SH...T!!!

if burnt beef produce is not on offer then we are up a drive!!

But then perhaps!!!

What if NT have a decent toilet!!! one with more than 80% of the unit in place!! (shame on any plumber who left that like that ;) )

And cups for a brew that are not embeded with iron filing.

What , OH what .. will be the new world order in the hospitality department..

(and will there be a strange funkey oriental bandit?)

Dam I feel like a burger right now..

nothing much will change in that department although i am considering imposing a toilet charge of a pound per use, to stop you mucky buggers getting it in the same state as poor spuds!:D And i cant accept any responsibility for food poioning due to my cooking or bad coffee. The iron filings are meant to be there, their good for you!

On a serious note though,

I am very grateful to andy for all that he has done for me over the the last year or so, hes a great guy and i wish him the best of luck. Hes a cracking mate, and an even better teacher. I have some pretty big boots to fill but if my customer service and quality is even half as good as his, then i dont think il do too bad.The saturn brand will remain essentialy the same, with a few small changes here and there, but il announce it as it happens in the coming weeks.

Nathan

Davidbolam 16th January 2012 10:32 PM

Sorry to hear the news Andy. Thanks for all of your help over the last year and the insparation to go ahead and start building my roadster. Good luck with the fostering and good luck to Nathan.

Homersdouble 17th January 2012 08:47 AM

Andy,

Firstly my best wishes for a speedy recovery back to full fitness. As others have said this must have been a very difficult decision for you, but health and happiness are priceless and should be your priority.

All the best to you and good luck to Nathan's venture in the future.

Regards, Chris

Coozer 17th January 2012 12:10 PM

Can only agree with what everyone has already said. Hope you get it under control. I know that my car wouldn't be anywhere near where it is now without your help.

With regards to putting the roadster away can you still do track days ! If not gives you some time to squeeze the upgrade in !!

All the best
Rob

MarkB 17th January 2012 06:02 PM

Health comes first
Oh and Is Nathan taking on the single seater project?

shh120m 17th January 2012 07:41 PM

yet to be decided mark, watch this space....

Baz, its shh120m, sorry it confuses everyone, its my old private plate i was hoping to use on my own roadster but looks like im gonna end up with a big fat Q.

Jimmyd 17th January 2012 08:10 PM

Hi Andy,

My best wishes for a speedy recovery, as many has said already health does come first. Your other project is such a worthy cause.

J

spud69 18th January 2012 09:26 AM

Thanks for all the replies, they are very nice and mean a lot. There are some very genuine and good people on here and as long as the community carries on moving forward again as it seems to have been over the last few months i will be quite happy. It's also good to see the Mx5 based car gathering speed, although with a few mods but that's what it is all about at the end of the day, and will be great to see completed cars. Nathan will continue to support the Mx5 and move it on - with some guidance to.

I've never been asked for a licence at Teesside Autodrome track days so i think they are a must....;)

All the Best......AndyH

Wgroove 18th January 2012 09:48 AM

Dont forget to visit now and again......;)

Alex. 19th January 2012 12:26 PM

Sorry to hear about your health problems Andy, at least you have a diagnosis and plan for recovery.

What are the implications for the single seater project?
Is it finished and ready for publication, or is Nathan taking up the reins too?

Alex.

spud69 19th January 2012 12:37 PM

Thanks Alex but don't worry it is in hand.......:)

Sorry to hear of your plight spud, its just another of lifes hurdles that get put in front of people. You might need to take control of phone duty as I left a message three days ago about three sets of body panels and no one has contacted me yet. Was not like that when you were captain of that ship.

Bob

Enoch 21st January 2012 10:30 AM

Hey spud, sorry to hear about your health problems, that's one hell of a good business you set up there. I know how hard it is to get something like that rolling so I am glad you have found someone to take it forward. I wish you all the very best for the future, I also wish Nathan the best in carrying on with what you have achieved thus far.
