For sale - Panasonic Toughbook CF18 Laptop/tablet

I'm selling my Toughbook CF18 laptop/tablet. If you know what they are, you know how good they are!

If you haven't heard of them, they are military spec ruggedised laptops, with a swivelling touch screen so they can be used as a tablet, along with the supplied stylus. The hard drive is contained in a titanium cage, so if the machine gets mullered, your data is protected. They are waterproof, can be dropped from fairly good heights without damage, and really are just tough! The American military use them in the field to fire and track guided missiles, so they are built for punishment!

I've used mine as a garage laptop for the last few years, and found it really good when mapping both megasquirt and omex, particularly in tablet mode, when you can make adjustments on screen with the stylus, rather than faffing with a mouse.

Basic spec as follows:

Toughbook pentium r 1.1ghz 512gb ram wifi 60gb hard drive
Xp prof sp3

It comes with stylus, mains and car chargers, and a serial to usb cable, and the drivers for the cable are installed and working perfectly.

There is a very small amount of damage to the case, nothing that in any way affects the use of the machine, and no more than you'd expect of a machine that's been used in a garage!

I'm looking for £200 or very near offer, plus postage, or you are welcome to collect from greenhithe in Kent, or I could meet somewhere in S E London, as I work in that area

Any questions, please ask!

Cheers

Adrian
