Left hand drive chassis

There were plans of LHD chassis here before the forum hack.
I'm nearing the stage where I have to make, or at least plan, the tranny tunnel. As far as I remember, the LHD chassis wasn't a simple mirror image of the book one, right? Also, I remember someone complaining that on the suggested LHD chassis the clutch cable attachment on the Type 9 bellhousing is fouling the tranny tunnel.

What should be the centre offsets of the U7 and U8 tubes? My plan is to put the driver side upright so that the MT-75 pedal box would fit, and leave the passenger side upright at 214 mm from centre axis, so that it sits square with BR9 rail. Makes sence? But what is the width of the MT-75 pedal box?

The MT75 pedal box is 36mm narrower than the standard one, making it 214mm from side to side across the base (the 250mm dimension at the bottom of Fig 4.37 in my copy of the book).

The MT75 dimensions aren't symmetrical so you may have to adjust U7 and U8 to make this work left hand drive.

If you want more detail I've a printed out copy of the modifications that were posted before and could scan it in. You'll just have to excuse the oil stains:)

Samy, I'd be very grateful. Matthew, I would be interested in more detail, but perhaps it should be in a separate topic for MT-75.
