Hinged Hood/Bonnet

4 Attachment(s)
I thought I would attach a few photos showing the hinged hood on my roadster.
I have clamshells on my car and am also a bit height deprived.
So every time I had to remove the hood it was a struggle to lift straight up so that the paint would not get scratched.
The hood didn't help by being a bit floppy as well even though it is 16 ga.
I considered a range of options, but in the end figured that some TR2 hinges would be the easiest way to go.
The prop rod I made out of some scrap alum I had laying around.
It has worked out very well so far and I am quite pleased that I did it.
It was definitely one of the easier parts of the build.

Thanks for the positive comments, helps to show I am on the right track.

Arfons, I had to paint the garage walls after my wife decided it would make a great second home for me.
