WARNING Escort track rod ends with mx5 front hubs.

At full droop on the suspension you will be stressing your steering components as there is little to no movement left in the ball joint due to the angle of the steering arm. Luckily I modified my front hubs so they would accept the taper of the escort rack and discovered this issue, resulting in a bent rack extension.

Anyone know of anyone making escort to mx5 extensions? Or a better solution!

Phil at Talon makes them but theres a bit of a wait at the moment for obvious reasons.

Have I heard that people have reamed out and mounted the TRE from the top to get round this? Reaming would only leave you with 1/2 taper contact so again I think I read some peopl drilling out and putting in tapered inserts.

Cheers
