a book with all the answers

there is always alot of questions in here on all sorts of engine stuff like setting up 40's and igntion timeing etc.
sometimes with some missleading/incorrect info.
there is a realy good HAYNES book that is handy for anyone who wants to know thease things even covers mappable ecu and ign setups.
its called engine managment optimising carbs, fuel inj and ign systems in haynes high peformance tuning series
its written by Dave Walker of emreld ecu and tec editor for ppc mag
isbn 9781859608357 (rrp 17.99) odd thing amazon list it as over £70? must be some mistake

That happens to books that are out of print.

Sometimes that goes to funny extremes, like a positive feedback loop between two bots pricing a book 110% of what the other "seller" is asking for it. Some obscure scientific book wound up costing 1.7 million dollars on Amazon.
