This company use to sell them on eBay but no longer do. they are advetised in Complete kit car magazine. I think they are about £12 and they even list the haynes roadster. Hope this helps Dean |
When I did my actual chassis plate, I got a bit of 3mm steel plate which I then CNC machined the number into it and welded to the chassis. Remember that the actual chassis number must be permanently affixed to part of the car so the riveted on ones would not be acceptable.

I was wondering about this, I do MSVA as I build trikes, but for MSVA we cant use a plate, the number has to be stamped into the actual frame.
a set of stamps are easy and cheap. my advice is to practice, but the way I do it is to have a bit of angle iron clamped down as a guide so they all sit in a neat row, in a straightline, also remember to strike it once and properly. |
I think there should be both -- VIN stamped into the chassis and a riveted plate under the bonnet stating various data such as VIN, manufacturer, gross weight, etc.

You are right Albert,it also needs the axle weights on it.
VIN and manufactures plate. |
