Does anyone know of a good fuel proof sealant that can be used on my tank sender?

Black hylomar / wynns black gasket maker as long as its rtv silicone you should be fine i used to use this to seal my mini engines after a rebuild and thus have sealed my tank with it doesnt appear to have gone mushy and i sealed it some months ago and have had fuel in it since

I sealed around my fuel sender with Blue Hylomar. I also used a sealer from Frosts to seal the bolts.

This is why I wont use silicone on a tank. This is the brand of instant gasket we use, nowhere on the tube does it say its ok with fuels, water oils ect yes.
Our fitter replaced a cork gasket that had broken on top of a fuel tank while it was in for a service. Less than a fortnight later its leaking and the silicone has gone all mushy The 3m gear stays intact. Bob |
I've seen people use JB Weld-type epoxy sealants on gas tanks... But maybe that was something specialised.
