IVA requirement

Hi what is required for security by the IVA?
I have a MX5 build the donor parts were sourced from a 93 mk1 but I don't have any donor documents (so will be Q plate  ) the ecu is none immobiliser type it did come with a Sigma alarm which I don't have the wiring instructions for I have worked it out to cut the starter motor when armed, so I have steering lock and cut out will that do?

Regards MIck.

Might ask for documentary evidence for alarm system.

All you need is a key as the first and the second level of protection is the steering lock. If you start installing alarms you need certificates from installers etc

What about if the donor vehicle came with a factory fit alarm?

I was planning to keep much of the original loom and electrics from my Saab as the alarm system makes the car unusable if you don't have the key and transponder?
