No idea about shropshire but it's worth just putting "steel stockholder" into google maps with your postcode and see what comes up. I phone round all the ones that came up near me to find one that would deliver and had the best price. I used 25x25x1.5 erw (7 of) and 19x19x1.5 erw (3 of) which was £110 delivered. It's also worth getting some 3mm plate for all the brackets & plates etc. I bought a 2m x 1m piece of this but it was too much in some ways. I ended up using a majority of the leftover for my floor but something like checkered aluminium would have been better and cheaper.

I'm using 25 x25 x2.5 for my chassis.
Its off-cuts from work so beggars cant be choosers.
I have drawn the chassis on Autodesk Inventor and compared the weights and I think it will be about 14kg heavier.
No contest though when its free.
I think a lot of people use 25 x 25 x 2mm anyway.

Going from memory going from 25x25x1.6 to 25x25x2 is an increase of 25% in weight but gives a 30% increase in torsional rigidity.

Probably the largest steel stockholder in Shropshire is Christmas Steels in Shrewsbury, they're pretty good when it comes to the smaller bits n bobs you'll want as they'll generally allow you to root through the offcuts bins.
