Weights of Sierra components

Today I weighed the various Sierra components on a bath scale out of curiosity. I guess these numbers might be useful to someone. These bits came off a 1987 2.0 carbed Sierra sedan.

Bare rear subframe with rear rocking arms 33 kg
Final drive 21 kg
Front hub with a caliper (Teves) and a disk 13 kg
Rear hub, drum brake (Girling), bearing carrier, spindle, cable 11 kg
Propshaft, with middle bearing 8 kg
Half-shaft with both CV joints 6 kg
Steering wheel with upper half of the steering column 4 kg
Steering rack, with tie rod ends and the lower column part rusted on 5 kg

What you see here weighs around 260 kg... Hard to believe, considering that the bare chassis weighs only 70 kg, but nevertheless true.
