Ít´s alive

Hi All
Today my car started up for th first time. I have spend almost a year building the car. It is not yet road legal here in Denmark, as we have some wery harsh regulations. Over the winter I will try to post some pic. and add some film to youtube. I believe I have spend almost 4000£ on my build, this is VERY cheap as cars and parts in gennerel are expensive. I think the have used a total of 500 hours on the project.

Regards
Thomas

PS. does anybody know if there is any other Danish builds?

Good going Thomas, but we sure do need some visual stimulation!! ;)

Also whats your running gear etc?

I will try to shoot some pic. later today :-)
I did breake a Sierra 1,6 CVH. Type 9 gearbox. Standard diff, shaft drum etc.
I did choose this engine for a specifik reason. As I wrote we do have some stupid regulations ragarding cars here in Denmark. My plan in to have it registrated as a Triumph Spitfire, year 72. This makes it a bit easier but if the tax guys does not aprove this version, i do not think tah he will :-(, then I have to have the car tested in a lab, this is very pricy, 6000/8000£. I I get this approval i have to pay tax of the car wich could be in the range of 20000£. it is not easy here in Denmark :-(
Ther is also an other drastic way, I could move to UK and have the car reg. for 2 years, move back an declair the car as imported. then i could save the test. Not an option for me.

Regards
Thomas
