What on earth have I done wrong?

I am in the early stages of tacking my tmxr chassis together.
I have really took my time constantly measuring in every direction making sure they are spot on as per the book.

Now I have placed the bottom transmission sections, tt 3 and tt 4, as it is the talon tmxr chassis these are different to the book and in two pieces.

When butted up to br 11 the front should then neatly meet up with br 10.

However it looks like I'm out by nearly 10mm!!
I have checked and rechecked the distance between br 10 and br 11 and it is spot on.

Any idea what I'm missing or have done wrong?

Have you checked that tt3 has been cut correctly

As it's a talon flat pack kit I assume it is the correct length as everything else is spot on, also I don't have the dimensions as they differ to the book spec.

Whats on the opposite side of the chassis?

dean211277 25th June 2016 09:53 PM

The opposite side is the same aswell.
tt2 and tt2a also look the same when lined up.

This is probably stupid and in sure u have tried it
But does it fit if you put the end of tt3 in first with the 90 degree angle does it fit

you will probably find tt3 is long, on my tunnel i had to trim bits to fit, phil has done th ehard cuts for you, you have the easy trim to length cut to make, just make sure the main chassis dimensions are correct so bodywork fits, i can measure mine if you like

Thanks for the advice and suggestions.
A big thanks to Dave F as I noticed he bought his flat pack at about the same time as me, so asked him to measure tt3 and tt3a for me and it turns out my tt3a and tt2a are approx 10mm to long so require a bit of trimming.

Better to ask the question than make the mistake
