tunnel mods for 2.0 duratec

Does anyone know if the tunnel needs to be modified to fit 2.0 duratec and MT75? Any idea of the measurements?

The engine will be pretty much irrelevant to the tunnel, but the MT75 gearbox will require a wider tunnel, it's all been worked out and is on the furum here, somewhere, I'll see if I can find the link

There you go, scroll down the page a a bit

That's a very good point! He needs a type 9 with an adaptor bellhousing, or some kind of adaptor plate for the MT75

I was going to make up a plate to mate them together. I was worried the type 9 would not be upto the job? I heard that 150ish bhp was the limit

He has a focus st 170 engine in his mnr, its got a duratec badge on the top but its a souped up blacktop zetec in reality so fits up to a type 9. Ford didnt want there then flagship models to have the same engine name as a family runabout so they badged it duratec st to make it sound better!

I know this coz im currently putting one in my car to replace the dead cvh! :D

Don't know why I said INDI??? Probably as it's been one of them days where lots of people have ask the same different question from umpteen different angles and another group of people have half answered a quarter of what two thirds of the people asked.... The joys of trying to procure a few BT circuits.....

Had not realised it was an ST170, but then again thinking about it... If it was an ST one then it would be a Volvo engine anyway ;) requiring an M90 box...

Later ST's are fitted with Volvo 5 pots,a bit like the T5 motor.
