wiring query

hi all
can someone confirm where the wire from pin 56 on sierra stalks goes.
this is the pin which has 2 wires in. 1 wire goes to pin 56 on other stalk, other wire is not connected to anything
says they are earth wires, so does the other wire just go to an earth.
thanks
steve

According to what I can make out, Pin 31 is the one that goes to earth. Pin 56 on LH stalk goes to Pin 56 on RH stalk, The two wires on my stalks are BRN/WH Pin 56B, which goes to the earthy side of the Dip Beam Relay coil and BRN/YL Pin 56A which goes to the earthy side of Headlamp Beam Relay coil. Hope this helps but I can't ensure this is correct as yet as I'm in the middle of my own wiring as well!, Dave.

Steve,

If you are using the Sierra loom than the other wire you are refering to would have been connected to Dim/Dip Relay B.

If you are making your own loom, you could connect the foglight relay to this wire to make sure it only works when the headlights are on.

Or just cut it off.
