4 point harness lower mounts

Hi all,

I've bought some Titon 4-point harnesses - the top mounts are simple enough, 10mm I/D tube welded through a crossbar on the roll hoop, but I'm not sure how to connect the lower mounts - similar tube through the box steel of the chassis, or tabs (of thick steel) welded to the frame? I've searched the forums with no luck, and the SVA book is pretty vague (either that or I'm not reading it right).

Has anyone used 4-point harnesses before?

Cheers,
Kev.

Hi yes most folk use 4 point harness the mounts are shown in the book
These are shown as a flat plate with a threaded boss seam welded on the reverse, However my iva inspector said that they would have been better with a 90 deg return at each end to give better support, these are then welded onto the top of the frame flush with the cockpit side of the tube
Huh gary

I am such a div, when I went back to look at the book they were quite obvious!

When you say a 90 degree return at each end, do you mean something like this?
