gearbox sensor wiring
 

can anyone tell me the wiring colours to the neutral and reverse sensors on the mx5 gearbox, the sensors have green wires but the other four wires from the loom to these connectors have corroded and fallen out the plugs so i don't know how to reconnect them, i have the haynes manual but that part of the loom isnt shown in the diagram.

Hi Richard,
My donor vehicle is a 1996 1.8 mx5 5 speed. The switch mounted on the drivers side of the gearbox has brown/white and black wires and the switch mounted on the passenger side has black/yellow and red/green wires. Hope this info helps.

on my 1.8 2003 5 spd
reverse switch is black/yellow and red/yellow
neutral switch is violet and black
this is the same on a 2001 1.8 5 spd wiring diagram
