In the open.

For the first time today my car got to see daylight - finally pushed it out of the garage into the alley - put a big smile on my face :D

Great news

Looking great David

I bet it felt great to get the build outside, certainly gives you a better sense of scale once the Roadster is out in the daylight :)

Looks as if most of the hard work is done, ready for the road next summer ?

Well done on reaching this huge milestone David :)

Thanks for all the comments guys.

The car has been on and off its wheels for a while but until recently has been wedged in the back of the garage behind my CNC milling machine retrofit. With a re-shuffle I thought I would finally get the car out so I could start getting the engine setup and doing some tests of the cooling system etc.

To get the car moving all it needs is a propshaft. Engine is running although it has a bit of a mis-fire at the moment but I need to setup the carbs and megajolt thoroughly. Brakes are done although the pedal is feeling a tad spongy even after bleeding so I think a new master cylinder may be needed.

Unfortunately I'm skint at the moment with our wedding in a couple of months so at the moment I am trying to plough on and get as many jobs done as possible that don't require too much outlay.

Hopefully next year we will be on the road ;)

Tony - The wheels are 15"

Congratulations on your impending wedding David :)

Take a tip from an old hand, don't ask for parts for the Roadster as wedding gifts :D :D

I am sure as winter draws on, you'll be able find a few quiet moments for the build :)

Sshhhhhhhh Ronnie - don't let my secret out - honestly it is not a prop shaft just a very big rolling pin ;)
