Hi Wim

Here is a link that you may find useful

Ford Sierra 2.0 CL 105BHP

The engine data would seem to point to 2 litre Pinto engine.

That said, not sure if all Pinto engined were fitted with a type 9 gearbox !!??

You could ask the seller if the gearbox bell housing is alloy or steel

If alloy it will be a MT75 box

If steel it will be a type 9

CL? That's not a UK car.

All post 89 2.0's should be a DOHC with a MT75.

All Pinto's had a type 9 with the exception of some early 4 Speeders and any Coswoth 2WD which is a BW T5 or 4x4 which is an MT75.

I'll second that one Andy :)

My eldest had a 91 Saphire with a 2l pinto but I guess that was one of the older models sitting in the stockyard until it was finally registered :D

Remember that one well .... Ripped the gearbox tail stock in half when the prop donut let go .... Told him it needed replacing, did he listen

By the 90's they were selling most cars , it would be unusual for a 2.0 to be old stock. But who knows.

The first DOHC's came in early 89 an pre-date the facelift. I nearly bought one in 94 but did not have enough £££ ..
