Very nice indeed Brendan! Congratulations, I like it!
I am very interested in how you made the wind shield, looks like you have attachment points for a hood? I'd like to know how you did that too, as well as how you attached the spare wheel in the back : I'm planning to do that too. Do you have a blog or a website where we can see your built, or can you share these info with us please? Thanks :) |
Hi Sylvian, I got a local NZ company to make up the windscreen surround and laminated screen, the hood fasteners screw in to the frame as the glass does not go all the way into the frame, and as for the spare wheel I bent up a u for the base and no plate mount out of 19mm tube and mounted it on the fuel tank mount bolts and made up a mount bracket from 50x3mm flat the weight is taken by the lower mount and the upper bracket holds the spare about 10mm off the rear tub heres some photos http://i969.photobucket.com/albums/a...ps2823dba2.jpg http://i969.photobucket.com/albums/a...ps2116828a.jpg http://i969.photobucket.com/albums/a...ps313c294b.jpg http://i969.photobucket.com/albums/a...ps3f9113fa.jpg Cheers Brendan.

That is one well tidy build. Is it just me that thinks that with each build completed the bar is getting raised even higher, I have to take my hat off to a lot of builders that have finished their cars, well tidy
