A neat engine mount.
I found this on one of the rod forums. A neat and simple way of restraining an engine. Note the trickery on the steering.

Its hard to tell but it could be made from 25mm box without a problem. The only turned bit is the bush housing. That bush idea would also be a good way of anchoring the mx5 diff in place. it would beat the dubious engine rubber idea.

That has been milled out of one piece of steel you can see the end mill marks in the corners of the open section.

I'm not convinced, if you look carefully at all the corners/joints it bears the hallmarks of being hand finished.
Its also consistent with the chassis finish. Just my opinions like :cool: |
