quick way to try engine?
hi
finally finished rebuilding my sierra engine. is there a way i can see if it works without wiring everything up.(esc) only want to have a quick try. suspense is killing me. not even started on car yet! |
Nope, you'll need some engine management to run the spark, or its just going to crank over

Which engien is it, a quick wire up wont take long and if it's a carb then a thimble of fuel down the secondary butterfly will get it started.

1.8 cvh
what is minimum i have to wire to run |
do you have the engien sub loom with the ESC-Hybrid Module?

yes got all that but it is still with all rest of wiring loom. not seperated it
|
Ok, depending on the year ( most likly to be post 90 spec wiring ) there's either 3 multi plugs under the dash or three multiplugs behind the battery ( the later being the most common 90 spec )
I think we have established that not all three are used on the 1.8 CVH, but you should find 3 multimlugs bundled close to the battery feed wires. they are two oval 8 and 6 pin and 1 square 4 pin. AS I say, only two of these are probably connected to the engine loom. Unplug the engien loom at this point. When I get home I will reference the diagrams and let you know what wires need connecting to make it run. There's only one or two. TT |
