OOPS
yep she needs to go forward a tadge :)

Ianr 17th August 2016 06:47 PM

I did that as well - oops!

SteveH 17th August 2016 09:03 PM

Well my job for tomorrow is
Lift engine/box cut off mounts and reposition everything
Give me something to do while I'm waiting on my turbo manifold anyway

flyerncle 19th August 2016 09:55 AM

What a burger, think I would tempted to trim and strengthen the arm to try and clear it to get the travel.

SteveH1 19th August 2016 10:25 AM

Or drill holes further forward on the plates that are on the chassis

SteveH 20th August 2016 02:16 PM

I ended up taking engine and box out and repositioned the mounts
At the same time I'm moving the engine over towards the passenger side slightly
To give me more clearance under the bonnet

garyt 20th August 2016 06:19 PM

Yes mine is offset slightly to the near side to clear the plenum

Ianr 20th August 2016 09:35 PM

Perhaps this ought to be put out as good advice, mount the engine farther forward and slightly towards the nearside, as I did as well, second time of fitting, to clear clutch and in my case brake master cylinder

I think it should be included in the new version of the Haynes book if it ever gets reprinted
