Well done, I'm sure there are many who will find that very helpful

Land Locked 1st August 2009 11:21 PM

Ash, many thanks for these.

Just one question, are there meant to be diagrams in the front frame guides? If so am I the only one who can't see them?

AshG 2nd August 2009 12:00 AM

there are diagrams. what version of word are you using to open them?

Land Locked 2nd August 2009 12:05 AM

Using open office on Linux, explains it all though. Thanks.

AshG 2nd August 2009 01:51 AM

i wl make them pdf format in the morning for you

Hi Ash, I'd really really appreciate that.

Alga, I'm using the last long term support version from mint, which puts my open office at about ver 2.5. I don't normally need to be on the bleeding edge, I only went Linux to get away from Windose.

AshG 2nd August 2009 11:51 AM

realised what was wrong. i saved them in word 2007 format .docx . have now saved them in word 97 format .doc

if you download them again they should now work on your older version of open office.

Land Locked 2nd August 2009 12:02 PM

Many thanks Ash. I can see the diagrams again :D

Balidey 3rd August 2009 12:27 PM

In the book amendments PDF, are the last 2 pages blank, or is it just on my PC?

I see them blank too.

AshG 3rd August 2009 05:07 PM

i believe that they are meant to be blank. i think chris just forgot to delete the extra pages before he made the pdf.

Chris Gibbs 3rd August 2009 09:21 PM

A big thanks to Ash!!!

I'll get these reposted and stickied asap

Cheers

Chris :)

Note that 320 in the book is the length of a projection parallel to the longer leg of the pipe after the bend. The cut length is 290 + 69.5.

Hello all, I've downloaded the 'tutorials' for myself when I first saw them, so here they are!

AshG 31st January 2010 11:49 PM

hi guys sorry sorry I forgot to add them to my web server.

they all should now be at the top of the page so you don't have to cock about with rapid share.

Ash

John.W 1st February 2010 12:52 PM

Thanks Ash and Mr p Just printed the updates off.
I am a bit confused about the wishbone drawings because there doesn't appear to be any difference between the ones in my book and the ones i've just printed. Or am I just being stupid!!!!

alga 1st February 2010 02:16 PM

You must have the second printing which has the error corrected. Too bad it's not marked as an updated edition.

mr-p 18th February 2010 02:13 PM

MT75 mods

Can anybody shed a bit of light on this for me?

On the attached doc for the MT75 tunnel mods.

The drawings which show MT10 & MT12 on plan are the 160 & 187 dims from center to outside of tube the wrong way round??

I have looked at this a few times & still cant get my head round it, the sections & the plans show the short side on the passengers side & the drivers footwell at 164mm. The way MT10&12 are drawn would suggest otherwise??

Or am I being thick:confused:

P.

Bonzo 18th February 2010 02:21 PM

I can't really help on the MT75 mods as mine was a type 9 chassis :)

Is it possible that you are looking at the LHD version of the MT75 mods  :D :D

mr-p 18th February 2010 03:10 PM

Cheers Ronnie,

Thats a thought but ive just checked & teh dims for the modded pedal box match up, it appears they are miss matched in the same document.

Might have been a cut & paste error or something?? LHD details on the RHD doc??

Do you have MS Word Installed? Or Open Office?

Hello has all.
I have just discovered this subject on the forum of kit-car French.
Superb bonds on the details of the frame, of conversions left right-hand side of the driver's cab
and the modification of the tunnel of limps has speed.
Can be possible to put this post in permanent top of list of the family of the frame.
Cordially.

Rosco 15th December 2014 06:30 PM

Just for future reference, it looks to me like the jig drawings for the rear hub and the rear lower wishbone are wrong and should be back worked from the part drawings

voucht 14th August 2016 12:03 PM

A shame the hosting server from Ash no longer works... they were precious documents.

I had downloaded 2 of the documents when I was building my car, including the book amendments. I put them on my Google Drive server for public access.

https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...2xSRXZCdElrSEU

But I miss most of the documents from the old Book Amendments & Extra Guides section.

Does anyone have them, so we can gather them in one place ?

I have all of them except for the last two on Ash's initial list. I show they were created on my system in February of 2011, which is likely when I downloaded them. I can't be absolutely positive they are the very latest versions, but they likely are.

Message me with your e-mail address and I'll send them to you.

Regards,

Lonnie

PorkChop 15th August 2016 08:28 PM

Sylvain, I have the lot backed up.

I also seem to have...
  • a number of Vodou tech drawings/chassis cut lists when Matt Barrett made them available in 2011
  • some additional notes on the SSC MX5 version that I made myself, based on what was listed in SSC's webstore when Andy was around (e.g. damper/spring specs)
  • technical drawing for chassis changes to accept SSC GRP rear panel

voucht 21st August 2016 04:25 PM

Hi,

Thanks to PorkChop and the documents he sent me, I have completed the list of "book amendment" documents my Google drive public section. Access is public.
