It varies, you need to ring the test centre concerned.

hi guys,

I have sent off for my IVA and they and paid for it over the phone when they rang up, but didnt give me a date. will they call me when one is available??

Yes, you probably paid VOSA head office over the phone & they will contact your local station (or the one you nominated ) who will contact you with some dates, they rang me to discuss it quite soon after payment.

GOOD LUCK, IT`S NOT AS BAD AS THEY MAKE OUT ON THESE FORUMS!
HONESTLY!

We've just had 2 local builders get test dates within a week of submitting their forms - one Beverley and one Newcastle. Depends which test centre but they will ring you to arrange a date. They are much better to deal with, and more organised, than the DVLA.

Good Luck....AndyH

i could have had my test the day after sending the forms to gillingham. had to ask for it to be made later :D

usually you send the forms to h/o then they send them down to the local station . then the local station usually calls books the date then sends a confirmation letter.
