good padded seats?
 

im looking for seats as i have my floor in and some of my belt points in and want to get seat runners and mounts in before i paint the chassis.
any one seen the kitparts ones and are thay any good if you have a set?
was thinking of trs 4 point belts plus runners

or does any one now if there is a good set of leather style seats that go in nice for an doner car possibly 205 leather ones (runners are needed too)

missus says the grp ones are not alowed if i expect her to go anywhere in my roadster after siting in gus's car at exeter :rolleyes: and she wants nice wing mirrors too as long as she gets them she is happy for me to spend loads of time and money building my own car "happy dayz"

I've got the old style cobra roadster 7 seats and having a problem with them being slightly too short for the headrest to be iva ok. (no one else seems to have had a problem)
Also running trs harnesses. Seem ok forth money although cozzer has just had his 1 break (catch not strap)

Don't go fitting production car seats it will spoil the car, try Richfield or even hunting down a pair of padded Westfield seats. GRP ones are more comfortable than they look by the way:p

Kitparts look good in the flesh but no idea of them in the car,Handy has them in his and comfortable,had a quick sit in.

Scenic rears will adapt and again comfortable as Adrian H will agree as that is what he has used if I remember correctly.

On the other hand the fibreglass are deceptivley comfortable as Mark says.

Got fiberglass ones in my car they are suprisingly comfortable and very light. Im not building my car for touring, im keeping everything as light possible. A lot depends what your buiding your car for I guess.
On a side note, I don't like dissing suppliers but I've heard that kit parts direct can be a bit sloooooooooooooooooow delivering goods, somebody posted about it on locostjibbers lol.

MX5 seats
 

I opted for the MK1 MX5 seats as i know they are comfy for me.

Having to adjust the tunnel width a little but was gonna chance it anyway.

Plan on getting them reclothed in half leather and alcantara when i've finished with the messy stuff.

The bonus is the speakers are in the headrests, so i might be able to hear the stereo, just...

i know the grp seats are not too bad for the bum but the misses is having the final word when it comes to seating and I'm happy to go for padded style seats as they look a bit more plush

The GPR seat's are better if you get caught out in the rain. Drill small hole to help let rain out.

I have the Westfield sports seats in mine, really comfy, and they come up on ebay and WSCC quite often, (there's some for sale at the moment on locostbuilders.

They come highly recommended from me!

I agree with the valid point above but of all the bucket type seats which ones fit that are iva compliant and still have the head restraints?
