HI
I hope he has made the rear wishbones 10mm longer:eek:

He hasnt exactly stuck to the book so to speak... He accidentally bought locost wishbones and has used them, but in doing so he has had to modify the rear end by adding bits on. I've told him to get some pics on and ask if his mods will actually work.

Ash thats a great idea, & Ronnie i think you have hit the nail on the head with the idea of a "club", this surely can be taken forward, as it can run alongside the forum for those that "WISH" to be part of it.

If you need a small contribution towards the maintainance of the domain count me in. ;)

I am happy to assist in any way possible but I have to warn you, I am a complete & utter web moron  :o

i have to agree with adrian on the organisational side of things. i would be happy to run the club but honestly dont think i would have time to do it until my build is complete. i would also strongly suggest that any other person offering to run such a culb finish their build first.

if someone with a finished car wants to take on the idea i dont mind doing hosting/tech stuff but i dont currently have the time to organise events etc etc.

PIP (project in Progress) and FOR (Finished and on the Road)

The first (ten or so) cars that were built and on the road do have some pioneering status and deserve to be acknowledged as "our heroes". The same goes for their builders.
But we would like to see a growing number of followers. As has been said, many people have bought the book and are building anonymously, without participating in the forum. Maybe the shields shouln't be numbered, apart from the 10 golden ones.

I suggest that we start a list where everyone who wants to be known can add themselves when the build has started and when on the road.

Joining the list is a matter of copy/paste, adding a line and posting to the registre thread. So the list gets longer and no club has to be formed yet.

FOR-list
number/identity of car or builder/date on the road mm-yyy / some details
001 / Chris Gibbs / 06-2005(?) / Pinto 1,8l - HAYNES yellow, red stripe
002 / Frankie boy / 07-2007(?) / Yamabushda-greenblue-full race cage
003 / Dogwood / 08-2007(?) / cossie 300bhp-orange with go-faster stripes
004 / Spud69 / 09-2007
005 / Slimtater /

PIP-list
number/identity of car or builder/date started mm-yyy / some details
021 / Joe carpenter / .... / ....
022 / Eddy"Huybi" / 01-2008 / Pinto 2,0l, signal blue, trackday only

Jumping from PIP-list to FOR-list : erase your line in the PIP-list and add a line in the List of Heroes.

Both sierra's and cortina's are scarce over here and escorts just don't exsist. Waiting on finding my donor before I decide exactly which way it goes.

(Budget says the cheapest donor I can find)

this is just my opinion , if the Roadster chassis is the main focus of the build but needs to be adapted to make use of what "available " donor parts are obtainable due to location / availability then i,d say yes its a Roadster, after all the book "suggests" the donor parts to enable the plans to be followed from the book.
thats how i,d see it anyway.

My 2p worth, sounds a good plan.

I haven't had much time to contribute recently but would certainly like to get involved.

keep the 2 lists together please

Thanks Andy for supporting the idea and completing your entry.
It's best to keep the 2 lists as one item until it gets too difficult to handle as copy/paste
I hope that the 33 persons claiming to have started join the List.
