Bleedin brakes

I,d just like to thank Spud for coming over to my place to help bleed my brakes, thanks Spud :)

It all came about after Spud had come over a few days earlier & had a little drive of my car, he commented that my brakes weren,t as good as they ought to be, even tho they had been bled a few times previously, I just thought it was due to having new pads/discs needing to bed in etc,

Anyways....Spud brought with him a tool that connected to my compressor & after bleeding all 4 corners twice the difference is amazing

The tool he used actually sucks the fluid thru the system to remove any trapped air & it has transformed the brakes, when hitting the pedal its more responsive & generally feels more "active" & thankfully the bias is as it should be & locks up the front wheels before the back.

So, a BIG thanks to Spud

cheers
andy

OMG, Andy, I have just filled out the forms in anticipation of the big day, are you going to beat me???? Been working in secret to get the job done. I think we started out builds at around the same time. (July 2008)

Only got the GRP wings to order, has anyone purchased any from the NTS engineering yet?

the day is looming andy :D

spike I was looking at your pictures and i pretty sure the iva inspector isnt going to like the way you have done your fuel lines. when i had my test i got pulled up for having a fuel line touching a panel in the transmission tunnel. i had to put an extra p clip in to move it away from the panel so personally I think cable tying them to the panel will be a big no no.

I am happy to be corrected by someone that has passed with it like that but from my experience I just don't think they will like it.

I have a load of rubber lined P clips that I can replace them with, I was working on the secured every 100 mm, thanks for pointing that out. I will try to get it sorted over the next few weeks:)
