Ride height for locost

Can anyone advise on ride height please. The car we are building appears very low, not put the engine and box in yet !

Is the car you are building a Roadster?

if so, you are looking for about 4 to 5 inches of ground clearance from the tarmac to the bottom face of the bottom chassis rails.

hope that helps.

cheers

Just wait till you first drive it when you're looking up at truck tyres or kids on bikes, then it seems low.

But yes Handy is correct, 4 to 5 at front and 1" higher at the rear.

What! Another Andy! Right, we're going to have to cap the number of Andy's on the Forum. I'll think of some alternative names and the next Andy to join will just have to be called Sandra or Julian.
