Hi all
just advice i need at the moment
I have built the car or in the middle of making the car and was wondering what papers i will need for the iva man ,there was no doner just bits and pieces bought and collected from everywhere ,is there a problem with this sort of build???:confused: :confused: :confused:

basic brake down is

1. go to dvla and get a chassis number and mark this on your chassis
2. get proof of age of engine if your engine is pre 95 (no cat)
3. apply for iva test with vosa when car is ready
you may need photos to prove its a home built car and any of bits that cant be seen by tester like welding on seatbelt mounts and possibly paperwork for some of your parts fitted
4. after test pass you need to go back to dvla to apply for reg number (no proof gets you a Q)
you also need to have it insured before this and buy road tax at the same time
